Finn

Finn by Jon Clinch
Unabridged audible - 10 CDs

I almost stopped listening to this one after the first CD. I'm glad now I didn't. Even though the story started in the middle and then went back to the first in a very confusing way, it was a very good story about Huckleberry Finn's father and mother. The reader was very good and sounded exactly like what I think the main character should sound.

Clapton

Clapton: The Autobiography by Eric Clapton
Abridged Audiobook 5 CDs

Ok, I will be the first to admit it, I am an old hippie. Loved Clapton back in the 70's and I think he is probably the greatest guitar player ever. It is sad that so much of his life was wasted on drug and alcohol addiction. It is all in the book for the world to see. It was abridged, which I really dislike. Why even have an audiobook if it is not going to be the whole book, but unfortunately, this is the only way this one comes in audio. He was not the narrator, which I also disliked since it was an autobiography. Even after all these drawbacks, I thought it was worth the listen.

Tanglewreck

Tanglewreck by Jeanette Winterson

Nice, quick little read. I loved all the references to time in the book - "sands of time", "make more time", "enough time", etc. Cute story about a little girl who races against time to find the "timekeeper" before two opposing villains get their hands on it.

Once Upon Stilettos

Enchanted Inc. #2: Once Upon Stilettos by Shanna Swendson

Another really cute book in this series. In this one Katie looses her magical immunity while trying to find a spy in the company and it all started with an irresistible pair of red stilettos that she just had to buy.....

Alphabet of Dreams

Alphabet of Dreams by Susan Fletcher
Unabridged Audio - 8 CDs

Though it got a little tidious before it was over, I did like this audiobook. The story takes place around the time of the birth of Jesus. A young girl, posing as a boy, tries to hide herself and her little brother while fleeing her war-torn homeland. Her little brother draws attention to himself by dreaming true and predicting the future.

Tarot Card Mystery #1 - Eight of Swords

Tarot Card Mystery #1 : Eight of Swords by David Skibbins

I really liked this murder mystery. Warren Ritter is a tarot card reader in Berkley. A young girl has her fortune read and it is bad, so bad he glosses over the reading and doesn't play the last card. A short time later, the girl is kidnapped. Her mother comes to him for a reading and winds up dead. Now the murderer is trying to steer the law in Warren's direction. Time to pick up and move or time to stay and fight? Very good, quick read.

Tagged

I got tagged over in Amberkatze's Book Blog http://amberkatze-amberkatze.blogspot.com/

Here are the rules:

The rules are: 1. Link back to the person who tagged you.2. Post the rules on your blog.3. Share six unimportant things about yourself.4. Tag six random people at the end of your blog entry.5. Let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs.

Unimportant things about myself:
1. I am 5'3" tall
2. I love to stay home on really cold days, curled up in a chair with hot chocolate and a good book.
3. I need time alone, away from people. It doesn't mean I dislike others company, I just need to be by myself sometimes.
4. I don't like to watch television. I tend to buy the boxed season sets of shows and watch them straight through from season one to the end.
5. I'm extemely cold natured. I am cold and uncomfortable most of the time. Building either underheat in the winter or over cool in the summer.
6. I buy music CDs all the time, but always wind up listening to books on CD instead. I have dozens of music CDs I've never listened to all the way through.

I will have to look for people to tag. I don't know that many people with blogs, lol.

A Dirty Job

A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore
Unabridged - 11 CDs

I loved this book. I am really glad I listened to it rather than trying to read it. It is the sort of book I don't think I would have ever made through reading, but I loved listening. It was funny and entertaining. The hero is a little crazy to begin with and then has to deal with even crazier events and circumstances. I have added all the Christopher Moore audios I can find to my wishlist.

Back on Blossom Street

Back on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber

Unabridged Audio - 9 CDs

I thought I liked this author and especially the Blossom Street series, but I've only listened to them abridged. This was the first unabridged I have listened to and I think I like this author in small doses instead of longer, unabridged doses. It was just too sweet for me.
