What can I say? Her books just keep getting better. This is the first book in a series about shapechangers. In Hawksong, the young leaders of two warring factions, attempt to try to make peace between their peoples. One group are serpent-shapechangers, the other, hawk-shapechangers. The book does not leave you hanging. If it were a stand alone book, it could end very logically, but leave you wishing for the story to continue. I'm glad that it will be and have already started reading the second book of the series Snakecharm.
